Lamar CISD Recognizes Campuses for Distinction Designations

Lamar CISD campuses were recognized during this month's General Staff Meeting and the October Board Meeting for earning Distinction Designations as part of the Texas Education Agency's (TEA) accountability rating system. 

Lamar CISD campuses earned a total of 86 distinctions in 2019, compared to 78 in 2018. The seven categories in which campuses can earn a distinction are: English Language Arts/Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies, Academic Growth, Closing Performance Gaps and Post-Secondary Readiness.
 
At the campus level, 28 campuses earned one or more Distinction Designations and three campuses earned all Distinction Designations for which they were eligible.

Williams, Hubenak and Frost elementary schools were recognized at the October Board Meeting for earning all Distinction Designations for which they were eligible.
