Summer School

This year, all secondary summer school courses will be held virtually through Edgenuity. Students will have the opportunity to take credit recovery and original credit courses in two summer school sessions, Summer I and Summer II, starting June 29 through July 30.

  • High School
    • High school students, including incoming ninth graders, will need to self-register online through Family Access in Skyward and pay for original credit courses online using GoFan. There are no fees for credit recovery courses. Students may register for courses on Skyward from May 28 through June 12. High school counselors will verify and approve student course enrollment. For more information, view the High School Summer School flyer
  • Middle School and Junior High
    • Middle school and junior high students will be enrolled in the required summer school courses by their school counselors. The school counselors will notify parents and students if they are required to attend summer school. All necessary information pertaining to the summer school courses will be provided through Edgenuity. For more information, view the Middle and Junior High School Summer School flyer.

  • Lamar CISD will be offering a virtual summer school program for current eligible Pre-K and Kindergarten English learners who will be entering either kindergarten or first grade in the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year.
  •  This program will help your child to continue in his/her development of English language proficiency, literacy and academic skills needed for success in school.
  • The virtual summer school program will be held from July 6, 2020 to July 29,2020. Virtual classes and teachers support will be offered from Monday through Friday. For more information, click here.

Summer Reading Program

  • This summer, Lamar CISD Library Services is hosting a summer reading program at all of our elementary campuses. Although our libraries will remain physically closed, we want to encourage our students to continue to read and experience new adventures this summer!
  • To support reading at home, we've developed an engaging digital program through Beanstack – our online reading tracker app available through ClassLink. Through this reading program, students are encouraged to earn entries for prizes by reading every day and completing fun, weekly activities. For more information, click here.

Summer Meal Program
