Meet Your Administrators
Principal- Les Crawley
I am thrilled and honored to introduce myself as the Principal of George Junior High School. Joining such a dedicated staff and community fills me with pride and excitement. I am eager to contribute to the incredible environment that exists within this community.
With over 20 years of experience in education, my journey began in 2003 at Alief E.A Olle Middle School as a 7th grade math teacher and coach for football and basketball. Over the years, I continued to teach and coach at Jack Albright Middle School before obtaining my master's in educational leadership from The University of Houston Clear Lake in 2010. I have since served as an assistant principal at Alief Hastings High School for a decade and recently as the Associate Principal of Lamar Consolidated High School from 2022 to present.
My primary goal at GJH is to ensure that each student receives an exceptional education tailored to their individual needs. By fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration among staff and the community, I aim to create a rich educational experience for every student. I firmly believe that education is the key to unlocking endless opportunities and will strive to ensure that every student feels valued and supported.
I believe that open communication is key to student success. I will provide weekly updates through our Ranger Round Up every Sunday and I encourage you to follow us on social media for daily updates. Your participation in school activities and events is crucial to student success, and I invite you to engage with us both before and after school. I am excited to embark on this journey with you, to meet each student and family, and I welcome any questions, concerns, or introductions you may have.
