Tamara Chauniece has always had a talented voice. But can she be The Voice?

In the coming weeks, the 2008 Terry High School graduate will appear on NBC’s The Voice, where she will compete against singers from across the country.

During blind auditions for The Voice, celebrity “coaches” choose singers for their teams based solely on their voice. After the teams are formed, the celebrities work with the individuals to improve their singing and stage presence.

Chauniece began singing at an early age, traveling as the “Young Gospel Sensation” throughout the United States, competing in numerous showcases and making appearances on Christian networks. She was awarded the Texas Most Sought After Youth Solo Artist by the Texas Gospel Music of Excellence Organization.

While at Terry, she performed the National Anthem for the Houston Rockets and the Comets as a solo artist as well as with Terry High School Choir.

She graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Broadcasting News Journalism and has been working in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
