Marching on to San Antonio! Foster Band to compete for State Title

Foster High School’s Band will march onto State after finishing first at the Area E UIL Marching Band Contest.

The Band, under the direction of Jimmie Exline, will compete Nov. 4 and 5 in the State Marching Band Contest, to be held at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

The UIL Texas State Marching Band Contest will be streamed live this year by Mr. Video. The cost is $10/day or $18 for both days. 

All four Lamar CISD high schools advanced to the Area round. George Ranch High School, under the direction of Daren Jordan, finished 5th, Terry High School, under the direction of Tim Taylor, finished 7th and Lamar Consolidated High School, under the direction of Jason Levin, placed 10th.

The Area completion was held October 26 in Waller.
