Lamar CISD Superintendent Dr. Thomas Randle, Terry Coach Tim Tekyl, Principal Dr. Vera Wehring and Terry High student Enrique Davila accept the Touchdown Club's Sportsmanship Trophy.

For its exemplary actions on the field during the 2015 season, Terry High School’s varsity football team earned the Houston Touchdown Club’s Sportsmanship Award. Tim Tekyl is the head football coach for the Terry Rangers.

This the 11th year for the award, which George Ranch High School won for the 2014 season.

Voting was done by the Houston Chapter of the Texas Association of Sports Officials.
Terry received the award at a luncheon held Jan. 28 at the JW Marriott.

With the Ranger’s win, Lamar CISD completed an almost perfect award season. George Ranch running back Darius Anderson earned the Touchdown Club’s Offensive Player of the Year and Longhorn Head Coach Ricky Tullos was the group’s Coach of the Year.
