Valedictorian and Salutatorian for Terry High's Class of 2018

Graduation exercises for Terry High School's Class of 2018 will be held Saturday, June 2, at 7 p.m. in the Merrell Center in Katy.

Gina

Gina Kowal is the Valedictorian for the Class of 2018 at Terry High School.

The daughter of Gina C. Kowal and Steve Kowal, she will attend the University of Texas in Austin, majoring in Psychology. She plans to be a psychiatrist.

While at Terry, Gina played varsity tennis and freshman volleyball, was a member of the National Honor Society, the Student Council, Interact, Art Club Girl Scouts and Catholic Youth Organization. She also volunteered at Holy Rosary Church and Special Olympics.

After becoming a psychiatrist, she wants to study the impact of a mircodosing upon patients with depression and certain anxiety disorders.

Gina tells her classmates to remember only they can control to their own circumstances and that everyone has the internal power to improve and achieve their desires and goals.

 Hassan

Hassan Mohammed is the Salutatorian for the Class of 2018 at Terry High School.

The son of Rashid Rashid and Instar Rashad, he will attend the University of Houston and major in Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, Hassan plans to open an engineering firm with his brother, who is also a mechanical engineer.

While at Terry, he was president of the National Honor Society and Technology Student Association, participated in the recycling club and played varsity soccer.

He wants to be a successful businessman and educator who donates to charity and helps others succeed.

His advice to the Class of 2018 is to set goals and pursue them without the fear of failure, because failure is a part of success, not its opposite.
