At its monthly meeting, Lamar CISD’s Board of Trustees approved Oschlor Flemming as the first Campus Athletic Coordinator and football coach at Fulshear High School.
Flemming comes from Dulles High School in Fort Bend ISD, where he held the same positions.
Fulshear High School will open in August 2016.
Prior to Dulles, he coordinated the offense and special teams at Guyer High School in Denton. He also coached running backs at the school, which won two state titles in 2013 and 2014. The team was also a state finalist in 2010 and a semifinalist in 2008 and 2009. He was also the head track coach at Guyer and helped develop a district-wide curriculum for freshman students to transition into high school.
He began his career in public education as the athletic coordinator at Strickland Middle School in Denton.
Flemming has his bachelor’s from Texas A&M, where he played tailback and special teams on the football team. He also was one of two student-athletes on the search committee for Texas A&M’s Athletic Director.
He has his master’s from Grand Canyon University.
Fulshear High School begins varsity football with the 2018 season.
