Registration

Registering your future Astronaut is as simple as 1-2-3-4!
1. Visit LCISD.org > Students and Parents > Registration and scroll down to Students New to LCISD
2. Follow directions to locate your campus and complete the New Student Online Enrollment Application
3. Gather the required documents: Proof of Residency (closing documents, leasing agreement, fixed utility bill - electric, gas, water), copy of parent/guardian driver's license, student birth certificate, student immunization records
4.Call the front office at 832-223-1000 to schedule your enrollment appointment. 


Attendance

Attendance notes may be sent by email but must come from a parent’s verified email account. The email must be sent to the campus attendance clerk when your student returns to school.  Please include your student's first name, last name, teacher name, grade, the date(s) which your student was absent and the reason for the absence(s).  Please send your notes to our Administrative Assistant at: [email protected]

Breakfast and lunch are FREE to all students at Austin, but students may purchase a la carte items. Your child's student ID number will also be their lunch number. You can also use this number to add money to their account online. Students will use their SMART Tag in the lunch line.

SMART Tags

Lamar CISD implemented the SMART Tag system, which is designed to improve the safety and security of students who utilize school bus transportation. For more information, please click here.


Please do not bend or punch a hole into the SMART Tag. 

  

Transportation Changes

Transportation changes must be submitted to the front office before 2:00 p.m. Transportation changes must be submitted by phone call or by a written note. 

On early release days, transportation changes must be submitted to the front office before 10:30 a.m. 

Permanent transportation changes must be made in writing.

After School Care   

For on-site after school care, please call the YMCA at 281-341-0791. Their program is for students K-5 and offered Monday - Friday (on regular school days) until 6:30 p.m.

Car Riders   

Please get a White Austin Visor Tag from your student's teacher. 

Place the White Austin Visor Tag in your front window.

If someone else picks up your child, please make sure they have the White Austin Visor Tag.

Please follow the car rider line route on the side of the building. 

All car riders must be picked up in the car ride line. 

Walkers/Bikers

Please meet your student(s) at the flag pole in the front of the bike rack.

Walker/Bikers will be released first. Please be at the flag pole at 2:40 p.m.

Kinder and 1st grade students must have an adult or older sibling present to receive their child. Individuals receiving Kinder or 1st grade students at the flag pole will need to be in possession of a picture ID, so the staff member can verify release authorization on the first day of school. We will then give a White Austin Walker/Biker Tag to use the following days. You could also get a White Austin Walker/Biker Tag from your child's teacher.

For Kinder and 1st grade, please email your child's teacher if you give permission for your child to be released by an older sibling. We must have this parent permission documentation on file. 

We will not release students to parents parked in the parking lot. You must meet your child at the flag pole.

Briscoe Football Sweeps Freeport

The Briscoe 8th grade C football team defeated the George Gators 14-6. The Eagles scored on a 2 yard run by Ryan Talley with the following extra point ran in by Dane Johnson. Dane Johnson ran in a 30 yard touchdown and Christian Tomasino scored the extra point on a pass from Ryan Talley. Other offensive standouts were Michael Henderson, Miguel Leventis, Jorge Galvan, and Jason Garza. The offensive line stood out with great blocking all night including Kyle Taysom, Gabe Olivarez, Eli Zepeda, Mario Lerma, and Ethan Kanthack. Ben Osueke recovered a fumble on a kickoff and Reed Kyzar intercepted a pass on defense. Other Defensive leaders included Tyler Francis, Ethan Kanthack, Christian Tomasino, Chase Ellis, Jacob Burdette, Nathaniel Demafiles, Corbin Roy, Carter Miller, Jaren Rodriguez, and Jaylon Greenleaf. The Eagles improve to 5-0 in district play.

The Briscoe 8th grade B football team defeated the Freeport Redskins 28-0. Scoring for the Eagles were Kelley Becker on a 50 yard kickoff return, Phillip Amy on a 75 yard run, Michael Buford on a 3 yard run, and Phillip Samaniego with a 35 yard touchdown run. Donaven Menard and Bryce McDade scored extra points to help extend the Eagle lead. Other offensive standouts were Jackson Kennedy, Brock Wilson, Vance Ostera, Andrew Martin, Tucker Hathorn, Austin Mitchell, and Bryce McDade. Amari Agha, Jayden Floyd, and Dylan Janovich scored on defense by sharing a tackle in the backfield for a safety. Other Defensive leaders included Seb Cuellar, Xavier Hernandez, Arthur Kelly, Bryce Wynne, and Kelley Becker. The Eagles improve to 5-0 in district play.

The Briscoe 8th grade A football team defeated the Freeport Redskins 43-0. Cole Tipton threw 2 touchdowns, one to RJ Lamothe for 45 yards and one to Jacobi Williams for 15 yards. Parker Hearon scored 2 rushing touchdowns, one from 43 yards and the other from 10 yards. Will Lewis had a touchdown run of 15 yards. Brett Bermudes also scored a rushing touchdown from 25 yards. Tarribean Ramerez kicked 3 extra points and Reuben Fatheree caught an extra point to extend the Eagle lead. Other offensive standouts were Lance Lemos, Jacob Bush, Mason Moore, Clayton Carrizales, Justice Ugo and Blake Prentiss. Seb Compean and Will Lewis both recovered fumbles on defense. Other Defensive leaders included Tarribean Ramerez, Cole Ferguson, Brett Bermudes, Ethan Kappes, Michael Phan, Clayton Carrizales, and Luke Capel. The Eagles improve to 5-0 in district play.

The 7th Grade C Briscoe Eagles defeated the George Gators 21-7. The offense line was led by guard Nicholas Davis, tight end Benjamin Dahl, and tackle Zane Dooley. The receiving corp was led by Ruben Marin who snagged a deep pass from Nicholas Arellano for the Eagles. Quarterback Braden Albright scored the Eagles first touchdown on a 15 yard run. Albright found Peyton Schlicht for the conversion to make the score 7-0. Albright scored again on a 3 yard QB sneak. Nicholas Arellano kicked the PAT to make the score 15-7. Albright ran in for his third TD of the night on a 15 yard run to make the score 21-7. Defensive players of the game were middle linebacker William Kirchheiner, defensive ends Eric Romo and Ezekiel Cerda, and safety Daniel Bradley. The Eagles improved their record to 2-1-1 in district play.

The Briscoe 7th grade B football team beat Freeport 6-0 Matthew Suh lead the way with a 12yard touchdown run and Kaden Rohan chipped in with 60 yards rushing. The defense was led by Tyler Somersall and Sam Perileaux who each had a blocked punt. The Eagles improve to 4-2 in district play.

The Briscoe 7th grade A football team beat Freeport 20-7. The offense was led by TJ Green who had a 75 yard kick return for a TD and a 30 yard scamper for another TD. Lee Kubosh chipped in with a 1 yard sneak for a touchdown and TJ Green and Ahmad Hayes added extra points. The defense was led by Sam Haines, who chased down an 80 yard kick return. Owen Cartwright had 2 interceptions in the game. Josh Martinez and Daniel Martin added 2 sacks and 7 tackle for losses. The Eagles improve to 5-1 in district play.
