The Briscoe 8th grade B football team defeated the Clute Cougars 22-6. Quarterback Phillip Amy rushed for two touchdowns from 35 yards and 5 yards. Phillip Amy also threw a touchdown to Bryce McDade for 27 yards. Donaven Menard run for an extra point to extend the lead. Other offensive standouts were Jackson Kennedy, Donavan Menard, Phillip Samaniego, Austin Michell, and Tyler Nordberg. Andrew Martin had multiple tackles for a loss including a safety. Kelly Becker forced and recovered a fumble on the final play of the game. Other defensive leaders included Arthur Kelley, Dylan Janovich, Xavier Hernandez, Amari Agha, Jazy Mantilla, and Jackson Kennedy. The Eagles improve to 6-0 in district play.
The Briscoe 8th grade A football team defeated the Clute Cougars 50-8. Running back Will Lewis ran for two touchdowns from 75 yards and 4 yards. Quarterback Brett Bermudes also ran for two touchdowns from 5 yards and 50 yards. Running back Parker Hearon ran for a 1 yard touchdown. Quarterback Cole Tipton connected with RJ Lamothe for 70 yards and Jacobi WIlliams on a quick pass and run for 20 yards. Tarribean Ramerez kicked 3 extra points and Reuben Fatheree caught an extra point to extend the Eagles lead. Other offensive standouts were Jacob Bush, Chase Cloud, Ivan Zamora, Mason Moore, Lance Lemos, Seb Compean, and Clayton Carrizales. Luke Capel, Parker Hearon, and Chase Cloud each had an interception on defense. Patrick Moore recovered a fumble and had a nice kick return. Other defensive leaders included Brett Bermudes, Jacob Bush, Michael Phan, Blake Prentiss, Cole Ferguson, Ethan Kappes, and Jacobi Williams. The Eagles improve to 6-0 in district play.
The Briscoe 7A Eagles football team beat Clute 26-0. Lee Kubosch connected with T.J. Green for a 35 yard touchdown pass. T.J. Green had a 80 yard kick return touchdown. Xavier Green had an interception and returned it 40 yards for a touchdown. T.J. Green had a 20 yard touchdown run and was good for the extra point. Marcus Baines had a fumble recovery for the Eagles. Other defensive players of the game were Keen Mercer, Daniel Martin, Trenton Mathers, and Joshua Martinez. The 7A Eagles move to 6-1 in district play.
