The Lamar CISD Board of Trustees has approved the new attendance zone for Randle High School and Wright Junior High, opening in August 2021.
You can see the Board-approved attendance boundary zones by clicking here.
Randle High School will open with freshmen and sophomores only. Wright Junior High will open with 6th-, 7th- and 8th-graders.
Students rezoned to Randle High School for the 2021-2022 school year may remain at their current high school campus—through graduation—if they're eligible for one of the following exceptions.
- Sibling Exception: A student who will be in the 9th or 10th grades when the 2021-2022 school year begins may remain at George Ranch, Terry or Lamar Consolidated high schools—if they have a sibling at that high school in either the Class of 2022 or Class of 2023.
- Varsity Participation Exception: A 9th-grade student who earns varsity status at George Ranch, Terry or Lamar Consolidated high schools in academic, performing & visual arts or athletic UIL competition during the 2020-2021 school year may request an exception, which will allow the student to stay at their 2020-2021 high school through graduation.
Students approved to remain at George Ranch, Terry, or Lamar Consolidated high schools per the sibling or varsity participation exception will need to provide their own transportation to and from school beginning with the 2023-2024 school year.
More information about the exception process will be available by Oct. 1.
