Welcome back to our students! We had some of them show up on Monday so they either must have been anxious to get back or parents were looking forward to students returning. Our routines can now start to get back to normal. It’s hard to believe we are in the final half of the school year.
Next Monday will be a student/staff holiday in honor of Martin Luther King’s birthday. Having two 4-day weeks in a row has allowed students and staff time to get adjusted after the long Christmas break. The last day of the 2nd 9-weeks is Friday, January 19th marking the official ending of the first half of the school year. Secondary schools ended their semesters on Friday, December 22nd so that students could take their finals before the holiday break.
Next Friday, January 19th will also be the day that our entire school will be attending the Wizard of Oz performance at Fulshear High School. Buses will be leaving in the morning around 8:30 and returning around noon. Lunch will be altered to allow our staff and students to attend the performance. Please note that you will need to sign a permission slip that will be coming home soon to allow your child to attend the show. We appreciate our PTO who is funding this event. Our students should really enjoy this exciting performance!

19 Wizard of Oz performance at Fulshear High School - entire school to attend, leave at 8:15 a.m. and return at approximately 12:30 p.m. Students will bring a lunch or buy a sack lunch from the cafeteria and lunch will be eaten in classrooms when we return from the performance.
