We encourage you to register now and guarantee your child’s spot for the entire 2024-25 school year. You must complete registration application online at Student Registration .  After completing the registration, you will receive an email informing you how to upload the following documents.

Certified Birth Certificate
Student's Social Security Card
Current Immunization Record
Parent/Guardian's Driver's License
Proof of Residence i.e. Fixed Utility Bill (water, gas, or electric)
Most Recent Report Card if coming from another district

Public Comments on the 2024-2025 ESSA Consolidated Federal Grant Application

ESEA Section 8306(a)(7) and the ESSA Program-Specific Provisions and Assurances require Lamar CISD to receive public comment before the ESSA Consolidated Federal Grant Application is submitted to the Texas Education Agency.

Lamar CISD intends to apply for the following application(s) for federal grant funds with the Texas Education Agency.

  • Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
  • Title I, Part A – Improving Basic Programs
  • Title I, Part D Subpart 2-- Prevention and Intervention Programs for Children and Youth Who Are Neglected, Delinquent, or At-Risk
  • Title II, Part A – Supporting Effective Instruction
  • Title III, Part A – Supporting LEP and Immigrant Students
  • Title IV, Part A – Student Support and Academic Enrichment

Title I, Part A Title I, Part A funding provides supplemental resources to help schools with high concentrations of students from low-income homes improve the quality of education programs and ensure students have opportunities to meet challenging state assessments. $4,395,324
Title I, Part D Title I, Part D, Subpart 2 funding supports programs to improve the educational services to children residing in facilities for delinquent children to acquire the knowledge and skills in the state content standards and state student performance standards. $81,617
Title II, Part A Title II, Part A funding supports programs to increase student achievement through improving teacher and principal quality and increasing the number of highly qualified teachers in classrooms and highly qualified principals in schools $868,599
Title III, Part A Title III, Part A funding supports programs for limited English proficient students to attain English proficiency, develop high levels of academic attainment, and meet the state content standards and student achievement standards. $838,805
Title III, Part A (Immigrant) Title III, Part A (Immigrant) funding supports programs to ensure that English learners (ELs) and immigrant students attain English proficiency and develop high levels of academic achievement in English and to assist all English Learners with meeting the same challenging State academic standards that all children are expected to meet. $75,520
 Title IV, Part A Title IV, Part A funding supports programs to improve student academic achievement by providing all students with access to a well-rounded education; improve school conditions for student learning; and improve the use of technology. $312,550

Any member of the community wishing to provide a comment regarding these grant applications is invited to submit comments to Lamar CISD by emailing the Director of Federal Programs, Dr. Marva O’Neal at [email protected].  All comments must be received by Lamar CISD no later than noon on July 11, 2024. Any comments received by this deadline will be considered by Lamar CISD before it submits its grant application.

Título I, Parte DTítulo I, Parte D, Subparte II son fondos que apoyan a programas de mejoramiento de los servicios educativos en niños y jóvenes que residen en instalaciones para delincuentes a fin de que adquieran los conocimientos y destrezas de los estándares estatales, y cumplan con los estándares de rendimiento estudiantil. $81,617
Título II, Parte ATítulo II, Parte A son fondos que ayudan a aumentar el rendimiento estudiantil apoyando al mejoramiento de la calidad de los maestros y directores de escuelas y al aumento del número de maestros altamente capacitados en los salones de clases y directores altamente calificados en las escuelas. $868,599
Título III, Parte A Los fondos del Título III, Parte A, tienen como objetivo tener programas para que los estudiantes con dominio limitado del inglés alcancen el dominio de este idioma, desarrollen altos niveles académicos y cumplan las normas estatales de contenido y los estándares de rendimiento de los estudiantes. $838,805
Título III, Parte A (Inmigrante) El Título III, Parte A (Inmigrantes) respalda programas que garanticen que los estudiantes de inglés (EL) y los estudiantes inmigrantes alcancen el dominio y desarrollo de altos niveles de rendimiento académico del inglés además de ayudar a todos los estudiantes de inglés a cumplir con los mismos estándares académicos estatales exigentes que se espera que cumplan todos los estudiantes. $75,520
