Over the summer, 40 eighth-graders from George and Lamar junior high schools participated in the “Build and Soar Program.”
The highlight of the program, aimed at getting kids interested in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, was the street-legal race car the students built from the ground up.
This invaluable learning experience for these kids and serves as another example of Lamar CISD's commitment to providing top notch technological opportunities for our students.
