It’s time to make plans for the 13th annual Surf’s Up, School’s Out with the Triumphs, presented by OakBend Medical Center, benefiting the Lamar Educational Awards Foundation. Funds raised at "Surf’s Up" are used to underwrite grants written by Lamar CISD teachers.
More than $250,000 was awarded by L.E.A.F. in 2013.
The party will take place May 2 at the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds. Tickets are $25, or reserve a table for 10 at $250. This includes a chicken-fried steak dinner from Vincek’s and the dance with the Triumphs.
Dinner is served 6:30 to 8 p.m., with a dessert auction to follow. The dance floor opens at 9 p.m.
Dance-only tickets for $15 will be available at the door after 9 p.m.
