As part of the process of selecting textbooks for the 2015-16 school year, Lamar CISD is inviting members of the community to review the proposed choices.
The textbooks are available for public review at all applicable campuses through Feb. 13. Each campus will only have the textbooks that will be used at that campus.
There will be a vendor showcase Jan. 22, from 5 – 8 p.m. at Terry High School. Parents and community members are invited.
Written comments may be submitted to Valerie Vogt, Academic Administrator, 3911 Avenue I, Rosenberg, TX 77471. Comments must be received by Feb. 20.
The Lamar CISD Textbook Adoption Committee is made up of professional employees in Lamar CISD, with a majority being teachers. The Lamar CISD Board of Trustees approved selection of the committee’s members at an earlier date.
Recommendations of the Lamar CISD Textbook Adoption Committee will be presented at the March 19 meeting of the Lamar CISD Board of Trustees.
Textbooks scheduled for implementation in 2015-16 include: K-12 Social Studies, 9-12 Math and K-12 Fine Arts.
