Lamar CISD Seeks Community Input on COVID-19 Related Funding

Jul 20, 2021 | Community Relations

Lamar CISD is seeking input from students, staff, parents and the community on funding from the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief program (ESSER III) for the 2021-2022 school year.

The District has launched a brief survey to gather input from stakeholders. The survey will close on July 31 and is available in English and Spanish here.

The purpose of ESSER III is to address the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on students by combating learning losses, supporting social-emotional needs and ensuring a safe return to the school environment for students.

Lamar CISD is applying for ESSER III funds through the Texas Education Agency (TEA), which must include input from a variety of stakeholders on how best to use these funds. Your input will directly impact how ESSER III funds are spent across Lamar CISD campuses and the District.
