Lamar CISD’s Sylvia Cruz at Foster High School, Beth Rios at Wessendorff Middle School and Priscilla Chapa at Thomas Elementary recently completed the Cafeteria Manager Academy.
The Region IV Manager Academy is a 10-month program providing professional development for school food service managers.
Participants learn “best practices,” ensuring their cafeterias operate within regulations, while also improving food quality.
All participants submit an application and must be approved the District Food Service Director. The program is approved by the Texas Association for School Nutrition.
