Lamar CISD Board Approves Raises for Staff

Aug 31, 2021 | Community Relations

During their regular meeting on Aug. 19, the Lamar CISD Board of Trustees unanimously voted to approve raises for staff for the 2021-2022 school year.

The raises include a $1,950 flat rate increase for all teachers and a 3 percent increase of the midpoint scale for all administrators and support staff. The raises will be reflected in District pay beginning on Sept. 15, 2021.

“I’m thankful to the Lamar CISD Board for making an investment in our staff,” Lamar CISD Superintendent Dr. Roosevelt Nivens said. “These raises help retain our hardworking and dedicated staff who continue to speak life into our students despite the current challenges.”
