Black, Kipping named to principal spots in Lamar CISD

Two veteran Lamar CISD administrators will be in new leadership positions when school begins Aug. 24.

Jerry Kipping is the new principal at Foster High School. He served as principal at Lamar Junior High from 2010 to present. 

Prior to leading Lamar Junior High, he served as an assistant principal at George and Briscoe junior high schools and Terry High School. Kipping began his career as a teacher and coach in Corpus Christi.

He is a graduate Eastern New Mexico University and has a masters from Texas A&M - Corpus Christi.

Frederick Black is the new principal at George Ranch High School. Prior to taking the helm at the school, Black served as the associate principal and an assistant principal at George Ranch, beginning in 2012.

Prior to coming to Lamar CISD, Black was an administrator in Cypress-Fairbanks, and a teacher and coach in the Alief and Fort Bend school districts.

Black is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin University, with two master’s degrees from Prairie View A&M University and a doctorate from Stephen F. Austin.
