Lamar Consolidated High School Hosts SkillsUSA

Texas State Technical College (TSTC) will host the SkillsUSA District 9 Leadership and Skills Conference Feb. 15 and 16 at Lamar Consolidated High School. Career and Technical Education (CTE) students from Lamar Consolidated, Terry, Foster and George Ranch High School will all take part in the competition.

SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry representatives coming together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. Providing students with personal, workplace and technical skills, the SkillsUSA framework is a fundamental part of our CTE student’s education. Students will compete in a wide variety of events, ranging from testing their customer service skills to welding.
