Carter Tardy Policy

1st Tardy - Tardy notice sent home
2nd Tardy - Tardy notice sent home
3rd Tardy - Teacher contacts parent/written notice sent home
4th Tardy - Lunch or recess detention and a referral entered in Skyward/Administrator contacts parent
5th Tardy - Lunch or recess detention / a referral entered into Skyward and sent home
6th (plus) Tardy - After school detention/Family Support Specialist visits home OR contacts parent

Note: To be considered for perfect attendance, a students may only have 1 tardy (per 9 weeks) AND no absences.

**The tardy count starts at zero each 9-week grading period**

School Hours:
7:30am - 2:55pm

Building opens:
7:00am
  
Breakfast:
7:00am -  7:25am

Early Release School Hours:
7:30am - 11:30am

Students are tardy: 
after 7:30am

Front Office Hours:
7:00am - 3:30pm

 

Carter Dress Code

Tops: Solid color, collard (polo style, no logo) shirts in red, white, navy blue, black or hunter green and school approved Carter spirit shirts. 

Bottoms: Solid color navy blue, black, khaki or blue jeans, capris, shorts, skirts, skorts or jumpers. Jeans must be solid with no rips, tears, distressing or embellishments. 

Transportation Changes

All transportation changes and notifications for early student pick up should be submitted to the front office by 2:00 pm.

No parent drop offs before 7:00 am. No early pickups after 2:00 pm.
