Twenty FHS students were invited to attend the 5th annual Diversity Conference that was hosted by FBISD on March 21. Students 9th-12th grade who attend a high school in Ft. Bend County were invited to attend this conference. Participants were able to engage with each other during break-out sessions. These sessions were designed to increase awareness, improve communication, and develop mutual understanding among diverse groups. Students were chosen based on his/her good citizenship, leadership skills, and positive role model characteristics. Students were asked to come up with a goal for the 2014-2015 school year. They were then asked to discuss between themselves and their sponsor solutions and ideas on how to reach this goal. Foster HS students who attended are very eager to reach their goal and want to invite all students who would like to be a member of the new Diversity Group, to please see Mr. Collins in room 1123.
