Johnson Development’s Natalia Grynyshyn and Diane Nevels, Cross Creek Ranch General Manager Rob Bamford and L.E.A.F. Executive Director Janice Knight test a few recipes in advance of Men Who Cook 2017.

Johnson Development is the title sponsor for the Lamar Educational Awards Foundation’s (L.E.A.F.) largest annual fundraiser, Men Who Cook 2017, set for Feb. 18 at Safari Texas Ranch.

“We are so thankful to have Johnson Development as the presenting sponsor for 2017,” said Chip Sutton, L.E.A.F. board president. “Their enthusiastic support of the students in Lamar CISD and of the area’s overall economy shows their commitment to our community. The District’s growth and their growth will go hand-in-hand for years to come.”

Johnson Development has three neighborhoods in Lamar CISD: Cross Creek Ranch in Fulshear, Jordan Ranch in Katy and The Veranda in Richmond.

Proceeds from the evening will be used by L.E.A.F. to support ideas and classroom projects proposed by Lamar CISD teachers that would otherwise go unfunded.

L.E.A.F. also offers scholarships to graduating Lamar CISD seniors and paraprofessionals working on their teaching certificates.

Please contact Janice Knight at (832)-223-0334,  www.leafgrants.org, or like us at Lamar Educational Awards Foundation on Facebook for information on how to become a sponsor, volunteer or even become a cook for the event.
