Three recently graduated Lamar Consolidated Mustangs took part in the annual Bayou Bowl, helping Team Texas to a victory over a team made up of Louisiana athletes.

Juan Ramirez was named MVP for his three made field goals, including a 51-yard effort to seal the victory.

Kennedy Nwanne batted down two passes and harassed the quarterback, while Jamal Foote also scored some big hits while harassing the quarterback.

Lamar Consolidated head football coach Ronald Patton served as the defensive coordinator for the Texas squad.
