Leslie Haack Bill Conaway
Lamar CISD has named two district-wide administrators in advance of the 2015-2016 school year.
Leslie Haack is the District’s Executive Director of Secondary Education. The District’s 12 secondary schools, covering grades six through 12, are under her supervision.
A graduate of the University of Kansas, she has her masters from Prairie View A&M University.
Haack’s most recent experience was as principal of George Ranch High School, which she opened in 2009. Prior to arriving at Lamar CISD, she was an administrator in Sealy and Katy schools and a teacher and coach in Katy.
She was the District’s Secondary Principal of the Year in 2014.
Bill Conaway is the District’s new Director of Transportation.
A graduate of Texas A&M University, Conaway worked as the Assistant Director of Transportation in Clear Creek ISD prior to coming to Lamar CISD. He also served as Director of Transportation at College Station ISD and worked with several school districts while at Durham Transportation.
He began his career in transportation while in college, with Texas A&M Bus Operations.
He is a Past President of the Gulf Coast Association of Pupil Transportation and chaired the Texas Association School Business Officials’ Transportation Research Committee for two years.
