Valedictorian and Salutatorian for Terry High's Class of 2021

May 11, 2021 | Community Relations

Graduation exercises for Terry High School's Class of 2021 will be held Friday, May 21, at 8 p.m. at Traylor Stadium.

Terry Val

Luis Mario Garcia III
is the Valedictorian for the Class of 2021 at Terry High School.

The son of Luis and Mirella Garcia, he will attend Texas State University, majoring in Biology. He plans to pursue a career as a doctor in the orthopedic field.

While at Terry, Luis was a proud member of the varsity football and baseball teams, NHS, Leadership High School, Student Advisory Council and Ranger Leadership Council.

Luis will remember the fond memories he made at Terry High and will cherish the bonds and friendships he formed with classmates, teammates, coaches and teachers alike. He reminds the Ranger community to enjoy every moment of every day.

Luis leaves the class of 2021, and his fellow Rangers, with his favorite quote: “Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen.” – Michael Jordan

Terry Sal

Ckyra Amari Anthony is the Salutatorian for the Class of 2021 at Terry High School.

The daughter of Cornelius and Sherryl Anthony, she will attend Huston-Tillotson University majoring in Biology. She plans to become an orthodontist, specializing in Dental Cosmetology.

While at Terry High School, Ckyra was a three-sport letterman who participated in track and field, golf and volleyball. Additionally, Ckyra served as the president of NHS and participated in Student Council and HOSA. She also participated in club volleyball for the past five years.

Ckyra says her favorite part of high school was getting to spend quality time with her dad, former football coach Cornelius Anthony, over the years and having the opportunity to eat lunch together with him frequently. She encourages her fellow rangers to “trust the process” and keep in mind that how you finish is more important than how you start.
