Lamar CISD Community Passes Propositions A, B and C of 2022 Bond

Nov 09, 2022 | Lamar CISD Communications

Rosenberg, Texas – Due to voter support, Lamar CISD, the fastest growing district in Texas, passed the largest bond referendum in the District’s history on November 8, approving Propositions A, B and C at $1,516,623,300.

Once sold, these bond funds will be used to build the district’s first CTE Center and provide much needed support for our students and staff through safety and security, buildings, and technology.

“We are truly humbled by the support of our community. I’d like to thank the many individuals who worked tirelessly on behalf of the district to share information and get people to the polls," Lamar CISD Superintendent Dr. Roosevelt Nivens said. " As for Propositions D and E, that did not pass, we are working to execute a plan to address the rapid growth that we are experiencing while still providing high-quality experiences for our students.”

Lamar CISD is projected to serve more than 70,000 students during the next decade. The District maintains a commitment to public education and to better serve students and families with excellence.
