Four Lamar CISD musicians recently received All State honors at the Texas Music Educators Association annual conference.
Foster High School’s Malia Nelson made the All-State women’s choir.
Mason McDonald, a percussionist in the George Ranch Longhorn Band and flutist Shauna Heisler at GRHS made the All-State Band.
Topping the honors was Lamar Consolidated High School’s Miguel Portillo, who is First Chair trumpet in the All State Band.
Jason Carson is Foster High Choir Director, Jason Levin is the Lamar Consolidated High School Director and Daren Jordan is the George Ranch High School Band Director.
