Vision Statement

 

Hello and welcome to THE LAMAR Library page! We have so many awesome things planned for our library program this year. I am so excited to be your librarian and can't wait to help grow your love of reading as well as a become a great digital citizen.

Lamar Cons. High School Library provides resources that encourage and support high academic achievement in the classroom and beyond. The library provides digital and print resources, including but not limited to books, databases, and ebooks.

Students are allowed to check out up to three books at a time for a two week time period. Students are responsible for the cost of lost or damaged books.

Mission Statement

The mission of Lamar Consolidated ISD Librarians is to create a physical and digital environment in which our students, staff, and community can strengthen their natural inquisitive nature, foster a love of reading, and serve as a collaborative resource for teachers and staff in developing and delivering powerful learning experiences across all curricular areas.

 Goals and Vision

It is the goal and vision of Phelan's Library Media Program to:

  • provide an attractive, welcoming environment.
  • provide a well-organized and comprehensive collection that meets the needs of the faculty and student body.
  • encourage collaboration between the media specialist and faculty to integrate information, media literacy, and technology skills into all curricular areas.
