PTO News You Can Use

Upcoming Spirit Shop Dates:  Feb. 28th 

3/16 Next PTO Meeting:   Our next meeting will be on March 16th at 6 PM in the Library.  We will presenting the bios that have been submitted for Board positions...keep in mind, write in candidates can be accepted!  The meeting to vote for our Board is held in April so there still is time to get included.  

 Board Positions Open:  It is time for parents/grandparents/teachers to volunteer to help with next year's PTO Board.  There are several positions open and we need help to keep moving forward with event based fundraising, teacher appreciation, field trips, and more!  Please consider volunteering to help make next school year a huge success.  Reach out to us for more info, or come to our next meeting to learn more.

 Color Run Spring Fundraiser:  We are kicking off our Color Run planning this month.  Are you interested in helping?  Please let us know!  The event is scheduled for SATURDAY, 5/2, this year to better align with the school's academic activities.  We will need help with planning, sponsor & donor recruitment, prep work and day of activities.  There will be a lot of ways to get involved with our Color Run.  Together we can make things happen!

 Birthday on Marquee:  Interested in wishing your kiddo a 'Happy Birthday' on the marquee?  Just stop by the office to fill out the Birthday Request Form at least one week in advance of the birthday week.  Cost is $20 (cash or check).  Another fun way to spotlight your birthday champ!

Rain Brigade Volunteer Information

Join our Volunteers in helping students get to school on time when it rains.  The 5th Grade Safety Patrol is "off duty" on rainy days, so the school needs our help to help keep the car line moving!

Rain Brigade: How it Works

A text is sent via Remind 101 between 6:30 and 6:45 AM to alert the Rain Brigade volunteers that they are needed for carpool help.  Volunteers arrive around 7 AM to help on the carpool door opening line.

Sign Up to Volunteer

Text velasquezr to @81010 to sign up to get on the text list for Rainy Days.  Then come to the school to help with doors at 7 AM on rainy days.  We appreciate your help!

Please remember that Canvas is now available for all elementary students. All guardians in Skyward that have access to the Skyward Family Access Center automatically has a Canvas account. Your email address listed in Skyward will be your username for Canvas. That account is automatically linked to all of your children in LCISD! For instructions on how you can login to your account, including setting up your password for the first time, please visit https://www.lcisd.org/students-parents/canvas-information
