Valedictorian and Salutatorian for Fulshear High's Class of 2021

Graduation exercises for Fulshear High School's Class of 2021 will be held Sunday, May 23, at 8 p.m. at Traylor Stadium.

Julia Jensen
 is the Valedictorian for the Class of 2021 at Fulshear High School.

The daughter of Carl and Tanya Jensen, she will attend the University of Central Florida, majoring in Sports Medicine. Julia aspires to become a physical therapist for athletes. 

While at CFHS, Julia served as the NHS president, had multiple leadership roles within Student Council and was on both the UIL Math and Science teams. Julia also participated in WIT and served as the Lieutenant and Co-Captain of the Fulshear Storm Dance team. Outside of school, Julia was a soloist for the Adamson Ballet School, choreographed “Frozen Jr.” for Roberts Middle School and participated in Chick-Fil-A’s leadership academy.

Julia has received many scholarships and honors throughout her time as a charger, with the most notable being her recognitions as a National Merit Finalist and AP Scholar with Honor.

Reflecting on her high school experience, Julia claims she will always remember the resilience and comradery of her classmates and teachers as they navigated through what became a very unique senior year. Julia leaves her fellow chargers with her favorite quote: “Your decisions today will define your tomorrow.” - Unknown

Yna Santiago is the Salutatorian for the Class of 2021 at Fulshear High School.

The daughter of Gina Morfe, she plans to attend Texas A&M University, majoring in Veterinary Medicine. 

While at Fulshear, Yna was a member and section leader of the Charger Band and participated in NHS, WIT, Student Council, the Asian American Culture Club and the Spanish Club. Outside of school, Yna participated in the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy and volunteered as the clarinet instrumentalist at St. Faustina Catholic Church.

Yna says her most fond memories in high school all stem from her Band days. She encourages her chargers to pursue their passions, take advantage of every opportunity to broaden their horizons and enjoy the simple moments in life.   

She leaves her fellow Chargers with this quote: “Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.” -Carl Bard
