Lamar CISD Graduation Information

The 2021 Lamar CISD commencement ceremonies will be held outside at Traylor Stadium. All Lamar CISD graduation attendees are required to have a ticket to enter the ceremonies due to limited capacity.

Per the District's COVID-19 protocols, guests and graduates are asked to wear a face covering while entering and exiting the stadium, and while in common spaces (restrooms, concession stand, etc.).

Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 8 p.m. – Foster High School
Rain Make Up – May 20, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.

Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 8 p.m. – Lamar Consolidated High School
Rain Make Up – May 21, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.

Friday, May 21, 2021 at 8 p.m. – Terry High School
Rain Make Up – May 22, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.

Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 8 p.m. – George Ranch High School
Rain Make Up – May 23, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.

Sunday, May 23, 2021 at 8 p.m. – Fulshear High School
Rain Make Up – May 24, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.

Graduate Information:

Graduates should arrive between 7 – 7:30 p.m. They should enter the stadium through the Band Gate next to the Lamar Consolidated High School fieldhouse on the west end of the stadium. Graduates can ride with their families or be dropped off at the bus porch between Traylor Stadium and LCHS. Click here to view a map of the graduate drop off/entrance.

All graduates will be screened before being seated in the stadium. Per the District's COVID-19 protocols, graduates are asked to wear face coverings while entering and leaving the stadium, and while in a common space (restrooms, concession stand, etc.). Graduates are not required to wear a face covering during the ceremony or while crossing the stage.

Graduate Guidelines

  • Caps and gowns should be carried until the graduate has checked in at the designated entrance.
  • Decorations are not allowed on caps and tassels worn on the right side of the cap.
  • Due to the turf at Traylor Stadium, we're asking that heels not be worn for safety reasons.
  • Graduates are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, preferably with pockets to secure car keys and cell phone.
  • Cell phones must be turned off and not visible during the ceremony. No additional items will be permitted on the field.

Guest Information:

Gates open at 7 p.m. and the ceremonies will begin at 8 p.m. (If a graduation ceremony has to move to the rain out date, gates will open at 8:30 a.m. for a 9:30 a.m. ceremony.)

All graduates will receive two parking passes each marked with a parking lot color and address. View the map of the assigned parking lots HERE. All parking lots will be clearly marked.

Handicapped Parking/Seating Guidelines

  • Guests who require handicapped parking and/or seating will need to contact their child's campus principal to request a pass for reserved parking and/or seating.
  • Guests who require handicapped parking (marked in pink on the map above) will need to turn in one of their parking passes to the campus to receive a handicapped parking pass.
  • If a guest requires handicapped seating during the ceremony, contact the campus to request a field-level seating pass for that guest, plus one additional guest.
  • Guests must request a handicapped parking and/or seating pass from their campus principal before the graduation ceremony.
