Lamar CISD Approves Attendance Zones for Secondary Complex #7

May 24, 2024 | Lamar CISD Communications

May 24, 2024 – Rosenberg, Texas – The Lamar CISD Board of Trustees approved the attendance zones for Secondary Complex #7 during the May Board Meeting.

The complex will be home to the following campuses including Tomas High School, Banks Junior High, and Bielstein Middle School.

Tomas High School will open in August 2025 with students from grades 9 to 12 (which are the students who are currently in grades 7-10). If a student will be a senior for the 2025-2026 school year, they can remain at their current campus. Also, students in sports or other UIL activities might have the opportunity to stay at their current school if they meet certain criteria.

The School Board recently decided to use the traditional approach to rezone to create the attendance boundary for Tomas High School. Lamar CISD will continue to have separate attendance boundaries for elementary and secondary schools.

"Lamar CISD continues to expand and so does the number of schools we open," Lamar CISD Superintendent, Dr. Roosevelt Nivens said. “We appreciate everyone who has been involved in this process.”

The approved attendance zones will go into effect for the 2025-2026 school year. The complex is located at 24730 Easton Ramsey Way in Richmond, Texas.
