Course Selection Nights to Prepare for 2025-2026 School Year

Sep 12, 2024 | Lamar CISD Communications

September 12, 2024 – Rosenberg, Texas – As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure a smooth and effective transition into the 2025-2026 school year, we are making some important changes to our course selection schedule. This year, our course selection nights will occur earlier than usual, in September and October, due to the exciting opening of Tomas High School. This adjustment is necessary to allow us adequate time to budget and staff accordingly, ensuring that all our students receive the best educational experience possible.

Dates and locations for the upcoming course selection nights for students currently in grades 8 through 11:

  • Foster High School: Monday, September 23, 2024 at 6 PM
  • Fulshear High School: Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 6 PM
  • Terry High School: Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 6 PM
  • Lamar High School: Monday, September 30, 2024 at 6 PM
  • George Ranch High School: Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 6 PM
  • Randle High School: Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 6 PM

Students who are slated to attend the new Tomas High School for the 2025-2026 school year should attend the course selection night at their current campus. This will be a valuable opportunity to learn about the available courses, meet with guidance counselors, and make informed decisions about their academic pathways.

We understand this change in scheduling may come as a surprise and we appreciate your flexibility and cooperation. The course selection night is an essential part of your child’s academic planning, and it's important that students and parents attend to ensure they are well-prepared for the next school year.

If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s current campus. We look forward to seeing you at the course selection nights and are excited about the opportunities for our students.
