Summer School

Middle School (6) and Junior High Summer (7-8) Programs

Session 1 & 2 for Credit Restoration for 6th, 7th, 8th Graders

The sessions are for students who have failed core content classes (ELA, Writing, Math, Science, or History). Students will receive letters from campus counselors. Parents must read, sign and return the summer school agreement. Upon receipt, campus counselors will register students into summer school sessions. Please see flyer below for full information. You may also contact your home campus counselor for any questions.

SSI Tutorials and Retest

The SSI (Student Success Initiative) Tutorials are for students who have failed either 8th grade Math and/or Reading STAAR. Students will receive letters from campus counselors. Parents must read, sign and return the summer school agreement. Upon receipt, campus counselors will register students into summer school sessions. Please see flyer below for full information. High School Summer Programs

EOC Tutorials & Retesting

Registration is required through the counselor’s office starting on May 6 through June 14, 2019. Tutorials will be offered for all 5 of the EOC subject areas and students will be able to take two subject areas: one in the morning and another in the afternoon. Students needing only 1 subject area will only attend tutorials for a half day (morning or afternoon, depending on availability) and will be provided mid-day transportation. Session #1 and #2 – Summer School for Original Credit and Credit Restoration

Registration Dates: May 6th - June 14th

Online Registration is required for both original credit & credit recovery courses through Family Access. Original credit course are available to 8th-11th graders and must be paid in full by June 21, 2019.

Session #1 will be held Monday, July 1st through Wednesday, July 17th Monday through Friday from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm at Terry High School located at 5500 Avenue N, Rosenberg, TX 77471.

Session #2 will be held Thursday, July 18th through Friday, August 2nd Monday through Friday from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm at Terry High School located at 5500 Avenue N, Rosenberg, TX 77471.

Instructions and help with the online process can be found in the counselor’s office as well as scholarship applications for those in need.  Please see flyer information below for full information. You may also contact your home campus counselor for any questions.

High School Summer School Registration and Payment Instructions

Payments must be made by June 21, 2019 or students will be dropped from the course!

Dual Credit Information

LCISD will be offering dual credit government and economics courses this summer in partnership with Lone Star College. This opportunity is available for students at all five of our high schools. It will be an online course taught through Lone Star College and facilitated by a certified LCISD teacher on the Terry High School Campus.

College & Career Summer Enrichment Sessions

The College & Career Facilitators are happy to announce an exciting slate of enrichment opportunities for high school students over the summer.  Please take a look at our summer offerings and register your student to attend. Sessions include topics like how to prepare for the PSAT/SAT, writing the perfect college application essay, learning about goal-setting and time management, and MORE! There is truly something for all students.  Students who need to take the TSI Assessment can also find information about registering to take the test over the summer.  All sessions will be held at Terry High School in the College & Career Room (125).  We look forward to seeing you this summer!

CCF Summer Sessions

Out of District & Non-LCISD Students

Students who live outside of the LCISD school zones are considered out of district and will need to pay out of district course fees. Students who do not attend LCISD but live within LCISD school zones qualify for in district course fees. Any students who has never been enrolled in a LCISD school will need to enroll before registering for summer courses. Please contact the summer Registrars for enrollment information at k-12newstudentenrollment@lcisd.org.

Please be sure to include your student’s name, ID#, home campus, and a good phone number or e-mail where you can be reached. Please allow 24-48 hours for a reply from the summer staff.
