CTE Student Organizations

Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO’s) can play an important role in every CTE student’s experience. CTSO’s develop character, leadership, technical, and teamwork skills and are a natural extension of the classroom. Additionally, students involved in student organizations have the opportunity to participate in competitions locally and beyond.

	Future Health Professionals (HOSA) The mission of HOSA is to enhance the delivery of compassionate, quality health care by providing opportunities for knowledge, skill and leadership development of all health science education students, therefore, helping the student meet the needs of the health care community. 	Technology Student Association (TSA) The Technology Student Association fosters personal growth, leadership, and opportunities in technology, innovation, design, and engineering. Members apply and integrate science, technology, engineering and mathematics concepts through co-curricular activities, competitive events and related programs.	Please click link here.
	The Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) The Texas Association of Future Educators or TAFE (pronounced "taffy") is a co-curricular statewide non-profit (501 c3) student organization created to allow young men and women an opportunity to explore the teaching profession. The organization was created in 1984 to provide the best and brightest high school and middle school students in Texas with the necessary knowledge to make informed decisions about pursuing careers in education. 	National Technical Honor Society promotes educational excellence and higher standards for career and technical education. NTHS honors the achievement of top CTE students, provides scholarships to encourage the pursuit of higher education, and cultivates excellence in today’s highly competitive skilled workforce.
