Compliance Training
All employees will access the state-mandated training online through Safe Schools at the beginning of the school year with training completion deadlines set by Human Resources department.
To meet state requirements, all LCISD employees and contract staff are required to complete training annually on specific state-mandated topics within 30 days of the first day of school or first day of employment.

There are three ways you can access SafeSchools Trainings with your district username & password:

Once logged in, select the My Assignments option in the menu on the left. You will see a list of mandatory training modules.
All employees will have the option to test out of each video training for the school year. To access, click the TEST OUT button on the top right of each course. A participant who passes the assessment on the first attempt will receive credit for the course. If a participant does not pass on the first attempt, he/she will be required to view the entire video before having access to the assessment again. Participants must master the assessment to receive credit. The credit can be viewed in SafeSchools. Employees are responsible for all information in the videos, regardless of the test out feature.
Supervisors of auxiliary or contracted staff in Custodial Services, Facility Services, Transportation, and Child Nutrition as well as any specialized instructional staff may receive alternative training requirements from the supervisor.
**Failure to complete trainings within the required timeframe could negatively impact your end of year evaluation.
Note: Compliance Trainings are subject to change yearly due to updates provided by the State of Texas. Please check with your principal or supervisor for the current year’s required list of training.
