The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department
The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department works collaboratively with Lamar CISD campuses, industry partners, and community organizations to provide students with meaningful opportunities to explore career pathways and develop skills for future success. The department creates engaging learning experiences that extend beyond traditional academics, encouraging students to discover their interests and prepare for a variety of postsecondary options.
The department directs and manages CTE programs that offer career exploration, industry-recognized certifications, postsecondary credits, and technical skill development aligned with workforce demands. Through strong partnerships and innovative instruction, CTE ensures students gain real-world experience and are equipped with the knowledge and competencies needed in a competitive, global economy.

LCISD Ag Barns
The purpose of the Lamar CISD Ag Barns is to provide a safe location to raise animal projects for curriculum enhancement, to assist meeting state-mandated Supervised Agriculture Experience Program (SAEP) requirements, and for FFA project competitions.
