Area Superintendent: Dr. Melissia Smith
About: With more than 20 years of experience in education, Dr. Melissia Smith is a dedicated educational leader committed to developing leaders, strengthening instructional systems, and advancing high levels of learning for every student. Her career spans classroom teaching, campus administration, alternative and juvenile justice education, and educational leadership at all levels, providing a comprehensive understanding of the diverse needs of students, educators, and school systems. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Education, a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. As Area Superintendent of the Blue Track, Dr. Smith partners with campus leaders to cultivate collaborative cultures rooted in high expectations, driven by purpose, and committed to the relentless pursuit of excellence—creating exceptional opportunities for students and educators to thrive.
