Area Superintendent: Dr. Shannon Hood

About: Dr. Shannon Hood has more than 35 years of experience in education. She started her career at Lamar CISD as a student teacher, teacher, GT facilitator, assistant principal, and principal. Dr. Hood has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the University of Houston and a Doctorate from Texas A&M University.
