The Lamar CISD Board of Trustees acts as the school district's policy-making body and is the official representative of the people for all public education in Lamar CISD. The Board functions according to state and federal laws, the rules and regulations established by the State Board of Education, the Texas Education Agency and the will of the people as expressed in District elections.

Trustees are elected to overlapping four-year terms and represent specific areas within the boundaries of Lamar CISD. Although candidates run to represent specific single member districts, they do not represent specific geographical areas; rather, each represents Lamar CISD as an entire district as Board members.

On Saturday, May 3, 2025 an election will be held for single-member districts #1, #2, #3 and #6. The single-member district map can be found on the Lamar CISD website or by clicking HERE.

Board Candidate Application Packets will be available at the Lamar CISD Administration Building located at 3911 Avenue I, Rosenberg, TX 77471.

All documents must be filed and received in the Superintendent’s Office in person, by mail, or by email by the filing deadline of Friday, February 14, 2025.

Note: If filing via e-mail, the application must be notarized prior to filing.

Application for ballot filing begins, Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 8:00 AM

Application for ballot filing ends, Friday, February 14, 2025 at 5:00 PM

Early voting Tuesday, April 22 – Tuesday, April 29, 2025
