For students ages 2 months through grade 12, Lamar CISD has a variety of enrichment opportunities that extend beyond the traditional classroom. From summer reading, STEM focused camps, and our Back to School Block Party, Lamar CISD has a FULL summer of enrichment programs planned!

Lamar CISD Explorers Academy

 

Lamar CISD Explorers Academy is a summer enrichment program designed for elementary students to engage in inquiry-based learning, research projects, creative activities, and educational field experiences. The program provides students with opportunities to explore new concepts, develop critical thinking skills, and extend learning beyond the traditional classroom.

Registration for the 2026 program has closed. The information below is being provided for reference purposes.

 

Eligibility

The 2026 program served Lamar CISD students in grades 1–5 at eligible campuses, including Title I campuses and qualifying Emergent Bilingual students. Transportation, breakfast, and lunch were provided for participating students.
