The following substitute incentive applies to the 2021-2022 school year

Instructional substitutes are eligible to earn additional $50 per day with new pay incentive/stipend

As part of Lamar Consolidated ISD’s ongoing efforts to provide an educational system that allows all students to reach their full potential, LCISD's substitute office is excited to announce a new pay incentive for all instructional substitutes for the 2021-22 school year. Instructional substitutes are those substitutes who are serving as a classroom aide or teacher.

Effective August 23, 2021, all LCISD instructional substitutes will receive an additional $50 stipend per day for working in a full day assignment or an additional $25 stipend per day for a half day assignment. This stipend will automatically be added to the substitute’s daily rate of pay. All substitutes are encouraged to check Webcenter for substituting opportunities.

How do I become a substitute?

  1. Complete the online substitute application at: https://winoc.lcisd.org/workspace/. Be sure to include a minimum of three professional references from former or current supervisors with their email addresses on your application.
  2. Once your references have been received by Human Resources, email Patricia Kibbey at substitute@lcisd.org to request access to the online portion of the sub orientation.
  3. After successfully completing the online orientation, you will be required to complete the state-mandated fingerprinting process. Each Substitute will be required to pay for his/her own fingerprinting (approximately $47.00 -$55.00).
  4. Bring receipt and required documents to complete the substitute process.
  5. Register with our telephone system and you're ready to begin subbing!

What will I learn during the online orientation?

  • Successful substituting techniques including discipline management, motivation, and individualization.
  • Important highlights from the Substitute Handbook and the Code of Student Conduct.
  • Specific instruction on dress and grooming, computer usage, sexual harassment scenarios, substitute evaluation, completion of your profile, how to use our automated substitute system, and safety/crisis management.

What do I do if I want to sub a second year?

  • You must complete the Returning Substitute process each year during the summer. Additional information will be emailed to you to the email address you have on file with the district.
